So to start off, I am brand new to dermaplaning. While I was hunting across Amazon to find the perfect kit to begin with, I came across this!My first impression when I received my package in the mail is that there is obviously a lot of care taken by the seller to make sure that you're happy. Everything was packaged nicely-no spills or open containers. The seller also followed up letting me know that my e-book about dermaplaning was available for download. After opening up my package, I was ready to start!The razors themselves are a nice quality. My only complaint is that they are a little larger than some of the others that I have seen on Amazon. Sometimes a smaller razor to go over a certain tricky spot on your face would be beneficial-I would recommend to anyone that is starting out like me to invest in one of the packs that contains a bunch of razors as well. But for my purposes and because I am brand new, I only wanted to commit to a 3 pack to see if it was for me or not.The seller also included a solution of hydraulic/vitamin C serum. This alone makes the kit worth it! Usually the serums themselves are at least $10, so you are really getting a deal. I really enjoyed using the serum, but I will say that I probably would not use it under makeup. It is a bit sticky after drying, and would probably be best as a night time serum/washed off eventually if using in the morning. I will say that I found the combination of dermaplaning AND the serum very effective. My makeup goes on so much smoother. It will surprise you how much the razors take off! I did give myself a little cut on my forehead, but that is completely user error (and also because I have active acne, which isn't really recommended when you are trying to dermaplane). Just be extra careful and go slow, I did not use oil like the seller recommended but next time I will.About the serum-I would patch test before using. I do find that there is a bit of a sting, but definitely not a burn. The sting to me just tells me that it's working! I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin texture over the past few days of consistent use. Overall to anyone who is on the fence, I would say to give this a shot! The serum alone is worth the money, and if dermaplaning isn't right for you then you aren't stuck with a huge pack of razors. I plan to repeat this once a week, and use the serum daily. I am using this in conjunction with glycolic acid, and that has given me the quickest results for my skin type (active acne, combo skin). I have seen a lot of the sun damage and acne scarring fade for the first time! As a 26 year old with adult acne, for me that is huge. I've also seen a big improvement on my active acne. I'm no longer getting deep inflamed pimples, just teeny whiteheads now that are easy to take care of.Worth a shot! Just go very slow, and PATCH TEST!This deplaning product arrived well packaged and self explanatory. It is very easy to use and theresults were dramatic. The mini blade folds into an attached handle. I would recommend this product.Unless you are trained in it, I wouldn’t. This doesn’t come with the typical surgical like knife needed (as it shouldn’t!) you can easily hurt yourself if you do this wrong.I was looking for some decent eyebrow razors when I found this kit. I was drawn in by the low price, and the glowing reviews of the serum it comes with. Typically I'm very meticulous about reading the ingredients on products that are new to me, whether it's food, cosmetics, hair products, soap, even cleaning products. It's important to be aware of what you're putting in/around your body.I kind of purchased this on a whim and forgot to look for the contents of the serum. I used the razor and the serum based on the directions provided. I was happy with the results. The razors work very well and are reasonably sharp. I really like that they fold in on themselves, because they could definitely give you a nasty cut.My real gripe is with the serum. First, they list the ingredients on this page as simply "vitamin c," which is VERY misleading, and there are no photos of the bottle with the ingredients listed. After I first used it, it did make my skin feel soft and appear brighter. However, when I turned the bottle around to read the ingredients, I see that the second ingredient is Propylene glycol. Not the last, not the second to last, but the SECOND ingredient, the first being water.Propylene glycol, in smaller amounts, is generally considered safe. However, in larger concentrations such as this, can cause rashes, dryness, and irritation. It can also cause contact dermatitis, an itchy bumpy, swollen rash that lasts 2-4 weeks. Some other reviewers have already complained of burning rashes. There are a few other questionable ingredients, the fact that it is made in China is another red flag.PG is typically in low-quality and cheap products. There are so many good products out there that don't contain this ingredient, there is really no reason to add it. I've since bought a burts bees face oil, I love it and it's almost entirely organic.I contacted the seller about this, they responded within 10 minutes and were totally understanding and more than happy to refund me. I will definitely keep the razors, but the serum is going in the trash.Ok so for the price, this product is just alright. The main reason I bought it was for the derma-planing razors. The serum was just an added bonus. So as far as the razors go, they aren’t great- they are each good for ONE use MAYBE (the first one I used started tugging peach fuzz before I even finished my entire face), the ends of them kind of scratched my face which made the serum pretty unbearable afterwards, and I think I’m better off using the cheap ones from the dollar store that actually come in different sizes. These razor are all the same length, which made it pretty difficult to reach small spaces like the forehead and between the eyebrows. On a positive note however, my face felt great after the initial burning from the serum wore off. It also looks dewy and flushed- thanks to the serum, I think. Praying that I don’t wake up with a rash tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Also side note, the box was crushed when it came in. Packaging could’ve been a little more thoughtful.Ordered these blades last year and was very happy with the results and blade quality. The blade was not smooth or sharp. Did not glide at all but dragged. Caused nicks and left stubble and created ingrown hairs.I like the package and the added touch of vitamin c oil it I've just used it and it's not exfoliating or removing all of my peach fuzz... I hardly had much but I can still see it..?Nothing is coming off on the blade, its as if they are bluntI've knocked one star off simply because I should've found a blade with a slightly curved edge at the end. With my eagerness to use it, I cut my face a little. Then applying the accompanying facial serum stung like a b****. My fault though. I think someone should produce slightly curved blades to make it easier to use.. no-one's face is flat..just saying..I’ve had dermaplaning done professionally a few times and recently got cancelled on so bought this kit as a last minute panic. Absolutely love it. Going to continue doing the treatment myself. Highly recommend the kit!I had a lot of peach fuzz hair to remove and took time to research what I wanted which included a vitamin C serum along with the tools and 'how to' guide. My choice was based partly on the above, partly on other shoppers reviews and lastly price. I ordered and received a salon-quality box with great products to use (the serum is amazing!) and was emailed the 'how to use' guide which is user friendly. I would certainly recommend this product and seller, I was not disappointed and neither will you be.This product is great! Seriously impressed was so easy to use and the serum made my skin baby soft afterwards. My only thing would be the blades could be a little more curved which will allow the blade to glide easier across the face but regardless still very easy to use and took all the dead skin and baby fluff off my face. Do be careful though if you have sensitive skin- the serum burnt a little when applied straight after and I did get a few breakouts ( but I’m guessing this is because my skin hasn’t ever been cleaned this well and it’s needs to adjust) but overall really great
