Just like the first razor I had: the pictures did not show how any of them opened up - - this style came all apart, had I known, I would have bought the other model, where the top opens out, but doesn't come apart - no parts to lose.Just like other brands, even comes with razor blades that last a while. be safe! If your in a hurry there will be lots of blood. You must take it slow. No razor burn for the first time in my life! One downside is the screw is at the end where your hand is and unintentionally turns the handle where you have to tighten often. The razor was fairly heavy, was nicely made, and was an attractive looking men's razor. The dark slate grey almost black color seemed more suited for males than women. The only thing that I found was the stainless blades that were included didn't seem up par and ended up discarding them and switched their blades for my husbands to ensure a super clean shave void of any blade nicks. All in all the this butterfly open single blade razor itself was well worth the money. And is very well made. The price couldn't be beat anywhere else for this type of quality.I love this razor. I was a little apprehensive about using a safety razor instead of a disposable one,first use and I'm sold on it. I've read reviews about safety razors and you let the razor do the job,no need for pressure. the long handle and weight of it made it easy to shave with.If you are looking for a single blade old school razor, this is it. Very cool and nicely packaged.I bought this shaver in October 2020 and it broke this week, after just 18 months of daily use. It worked well until the threads rusted and wore down. Of course, I was thinking that the price was too good to be true for a quality product. So 18 months later it needs to be replaced, the handle no longer screws into the head.So if you don't care if this product fails after 18 months and the less that $15 price is okay for that amount of service, then by all means purchase this shaver. It will shave you well for 18 months.It takes sometime to get use to the razor and I would suggest using it in a bathroom where you can easily shave. The handle is heavy and nice. Using a regular razor I notice that hair gets stuck in the blades but with this the hair comes out easier. I think it will last longer than my other razors and is more eco friendly.This razor is certainly very well built. It has a nice heft to its weight. The blades sit very well aligned. The handle is also very grippy. I had no issues of it sliding around with a wet handle or wet hands. And best of all, it is very easy to keep clean. A simple unused toothbrush once in a while will clean it from soap residue.There are so many benefits in using a safety razor. Low cost, high quality, Eco friendly. I highly recommend using a safety razor for those with sensitive skin.
