The KINGHOOD razor is a solidly made razor that has a nice weight and looks well-made. My legs and armpits were smooth and stubble-free after using it in the shower. The blade lasts a few uses and is easy to switch out by unscrewing the razor head from the body.I have used a lot of different razors, and I wasn't expecting much from this cheaper razor. I was amazed. I got a really close smooth shave with no issues. I also have sensitive skin and usually have bumps after shaving my neck. It didn't irritate my skin at all I had no bumps after shaving with this razor. I would highly recomend it.This is a nice old fashioned type of razor, simple and easy to get blades for it. It's well made, and actually gives a pretty good shave without four or five blades. This is easy to hold and use, the blades are easy to change and it definitely reminds me of days past. It is very nice looking I choose the silver because it reminded me of my dad's razor. It comes with ten blades that are surprisingly very sharp. A lot of razors out there are just copies of old razors but, with the adherence to loose or strict tolerances, they shave completely different. The same razor from two different companies can shave like two wildly different razors just because of blade tension and angle from the casting, the coating, the milling, etc. So it's always like a wild ride. Usually, it ends up with me gripping a styptic pen like an Epi-Pen and trying to patch my face like a war casualty but this time......this time I got the singularly most gentle, effortless shave I've ever got and I'm kinda stunned.Normally, they shave fairly harsh. This...this didn't. It has a MASSIVE amount of weight to it and the balance is about the midpoint with the handle attached, meaning the razor isn't top heavy and doesn't press. The blades that came with it, normally atrocious, were delightfully gentle. Part of that was the shave angle. This razor bends the blade like a half-moon, making the shave angle somewhere between 30-40 degrees. And it shaved...beautifully. Granted, it's not suitable for people with a lot of beard on 'em because it clogs fairly quickly due to the comb situation. You can kinda full-send it and sometimes it'll push the shaved hair out enough that you can finish the shave stroke but sometimes it gets so clogged you have to stop and unscrew it. So if you have a thick beard, this gentle giant isn't for you. But if you're just starting out, or you have a five-o-clock shadow that needs a lickin', or you need to shave your legs/armpits/whatever...this will get you there. The blades are sharp but easy on the skin, the blade geometry makes it glide without pulling or nicking (I nicked myself once but that was because of my own stupidity).This is a GREAT beginner's razor. Get it for yourself if you want to try wet shaving, gift it to a friend with a thing of Arko and a boar brush, whatever. They'll get a great, easy shave. Then you can pass off your butcher's razors to them and they'll be none the wiser!This razors are make of good quality materials and they look like the old style steel razors. Great for men or women .Really smooth. Cool that it comes with extra blades. Has a good amount of heft to the handle.I have been using a chrome double edge safety razor shaver for years. I figured I would give a different one a try. This one has a fairly small diameter handle. There are some grooves in the handle more for design than grip. Dry, the surface finish provides plenty of grip, but I can see this design being a risk of slipping for those who shave in the shower. The "Black" has more of a gun metal grey look, which with reflections of the earthy tones in my bathroom looks almost oil rubbed bronze. This shaver feels like a quality product. It has a good weight to it and the machining is clean and smooth so all of the parts go together easily as they should. I was not impressed with the blades that came with it so I immediately switched back to my preferred blade. Overall this is a stylish shaver with a good quality feel.Product was not really for me. Personally I feel that it pulls on your hair and hurts more then a regular razor from the store. I like the idea of the 10 pack blades. I just wish it didn't pull so much.
